Omg im addicted to South Park!! I love parody, which craps on about political issues so awesomely!! lol! Was just pondering on why we do the things we do. Learn, study, work, go out partying, having a family then repeating what our parents did. I know it seems quite sadistic, but at the end of the day, no ones even sure if there’s going to be heaven or hell? For all we know, when we die, we just stop breathing thinking and that’s it. Its over. But so if in the end of the day it all doesn’t matter, why do we put ourselves through so much? As in, since one day its all going to end, shouldn't we practice egalitarianism and just enjoy life to its fullest? You would think yea?
But, the way things are moving so fast, its quite scary whats going to become of the future. I reckon Singapore is going to be how Melbourne is in a coupla years. In my com class, the topic on why teenagers are growing up so fast was addressed. And I realised, when I was 16, the only thing I could be bothered about was not being able to hand in my homework on time, but then I came to Aus, and suddenly your ‘worry’ list extended by a mile. And we were asked if we would let our younger siblings, watch stuff like south park, and saw, and american pie? Most would think yeah why not?
But man I really feel that since I was not even introduced to such content when I was 16, I actually had a bloody awesome childhood! Can you remember Rajan, I think Bowen was bloody damn amazing. Just running about, playing catching, and getting in trouble for dyed hair! Now when you look at primary school kids, the media they’re exposed to is bloody shocking. So if Singapore is slowly heading towards a more open concept of individuality, its going to be bloody shocking to see where kids in Aus are headed towards.. And of cause singapore is bound to follow.. oooo.. trouble brewing..
